CCAC 1
Project funded by the UN under the CCAC and EDF (Environmental Defense Funds) strategic action. Its aim is to determine the release of methane from the gas pipeline network of all pressures, reduction and measurement stations, gas tanks and gas extraction sites in Southern Poland. Mobile measurements are made using a car equipped with a methane analyser, ultrasonic wind meter and GPS recorder.
Techniques of Gaussian plume analysis, OTM33A methodology and eddy covariance were applied.
The project started on 31.08.2018 and lasts 2 years.
AGH University of Science and Technology is the only beneficiary of the project, although the measurements are carried out in cooperation with 4 other centres in Europe and Canada conducting twin projects.
